3/30 - National Pencil Day!

Tomorrow (March 30th) is National Pencil Day. I am curious what my readers will be using. :) I thought I'd also turn this into a poll of sorts... what are your favorite pencils? I'll have to give my rotation of my favorite pencils a workout.

  1. While I usually use Tri-Conderoga pencils (yannow the ones shaped like triangles), this is going to be my next purchase because of its reputed soft lead that doesn't wear away quickly.

  2. On National Pencil Day I am going to celebrate by using a bunch of different pencils in my collection, just like you. But my all-time favorite, go-to pencil is the classic yellow Ticonderoga, hands down. There's just something iconic about it.

  3. So far today I've used a "Mega Brands" No. 2 pencil made in the U.S.A., and a Pentel Twist-Erase QE405.

Classicist - Those General's pencils look very cool. I like the box they come in, and it's nice that they're made in the U.S.

  4. I also ended up using my Pentel P207 with B lead to do a crossword puzzle or two, and my Pentel Champ, also filled with B lead.

  5. I'm not a pencil person, but I think I'd get violent if someone snagged my Pentel FlexFit. It has gotten me through Stats. As far as "real" wooden pencils go, I got two Rhodia pencils as part of a Christmas gift, and I find myself reaching for them to jot down quick notes all the time. I love the triangular shape. Do any of you remember the Yikes! pencils from the early 90's? Now I'm all nostalgic!
